‘m looking for a little girl beagle puppy. I am allowed to get one in three to four weeks and i would like her to 8 weeks when i get her so she be 4-5 weeks old. i am located in Arizona i dont plan on getting a puppy out of state i want to be able to go pick her up. Anyone know of a breeder in Arizona with puppies this age. That would be great. And i am willing to go to the shelter and get a dog i just really want a puppy. When i did go the puppy i wanted was already adopted.

I am really interested in getting a beagle from a puppy. Apart from e-pupz website, is there any other places to look to find breeders advertisements etc?
A: Contact your local breed club, don’t expect to just go out and get a puppy though as a GOOD breeder will have a long waiting list. Also do plenty of research on the breed as they are prone to being very hard to train.
I Got my Lab from a breeder with their own website and that was how I found her while I was researching the breed. I did however do alot of checks through our KC etc before I approached the breeder for more information, she did also have a waiting list for pups.

A: In the U.S., they cost upwards of $1000+. So in pounds that would be like 700 pounds or more.
Of course, that would be assuming they cost the same.

Q: Is it bad for beagle puppies to sleep alone?
My beagle puppy cries if I leave her in her bed in the kitchen alone at night. Do I have to bring her into the bedroom? Should I let her cry to try to break her out of this? (It’s heartbreaking!) She’s 10 weeks old and I just brought her home 2 days ago. Also, will it spoil her if I hold her in my arms? She loves this. Thanks to anyone who replies!!!
A: Hi no its not bad for your pup to sleep alone. She is crying because she is not used to it and is missing her mum and littermates. If you intend on her always sleeping there then you need to get her used to it. You can try wrapping up a hot water bottle and a ticking clock and putting them in her bed with her, this often makes then feel better. Other than that you need to let her cry otherwise if you go and see her every time she cries you will make a big rod for your back. I know it is hard to ignore her cry but it will get better and she will eventually settle. Another good thing is have a really good play just before you put her to bed this will wear her out and hopefully she will fall asleep faster.
About the holding her, she is going to get much bigger and if you dont think you will be happy carrying around a fully grown dog then dont do it too much but as she is a baby is ok to do it now just do it less as she gets bigger! That way you can enjoy cuddling her now while she is all cute and small but you wont have to break you back by picking her up later on.

A: This question is all relative. Different people will value different things in a breed. Because of this no breeder is going to be “best” for all individuals as many of them breed dogs for different temperaments or purposes.
I personally would prefer a breeder who focuses more on producing dogs used for work as opposed to breeding for show rings.
Could you elaborate on what you plan to do with your dog? It might help bring in more constructive or useful answers.

A: Beagles aren’t cheap.
No dog is cheap.
You have to pay for vet bill, food, basic care, training, spay/neuter and emergencies.
And buying online is dangerous, especially with animals.
Puppymills often use website to trick people into thinking they are getting health quality pets, when they’re really getting a sick puppy-or no dog at all, the person gets scammed.
If you want to adopt, a term in which I view is saving a life, or rescuing, check your local shelters or rescue groups.
There are tons of loving beagles, puppies, adults, mixes and purebreds who NEED homes.

A: I agree with the other posters and encourage you to consider adoption from a rescue group or shelter. However, since you asked a question, here is a very easy way to find beagle puppies and yes, they are under $500.
Go to the SeattleTimes.com Web site and click on classifieds toward the right of the home page. When the classified page comes up, use the seach function on the left, search in the pets category and use beagle as your keyword. Here is that exact search:

A: They are very friendly dogs!
Do keep in mind that they LOVE to run and run and run. You must be able to give him lots of exercise to keep him from becoming destructive.

What kind of toys keep beagle puppies amused for a long time?
A: Anything they can chew!!! My little beagle will chew anything, her current favorite toy is a doggy rope big enough for a rottweiler! (she chews the little ones up too fast!) She likes squeaky toys too, but you have to watch because they’ll rip them to bits and try to eat the bits. (“drop it” is a good command to teach a beagle!) A Kong is also an excellent toy. It’s a rubber cone that you stuff a cookie into, then the dog has to chew on it to break up the cookie. Beagles are smart though, even if the Kong is too big or too strong for them to bite into, they’ll find a way! Mine throws it down the stairs until the cookie breaks and falls out! But still, the best thing to keep your beagle busy & happy is you. As many long walks and play sessions as you can handle!

Q: What is My Beagle puppies bad smell and liquid from his bottom?
My 10 week old beagle has a bad smell, like fish or poop come from him, I think it might be his bottom, like its leaking and there is some residue or liquid, slightly oily which has appeared on the floor and the couch, I want to know if I should take him to the vet?
Is it his anal sac glands or something else?

A: Yes I would bet that’s his anal glands. Take him to the vet to get them emptied.
Q: Would a fox jump a four foot fence during the daytime to attack 2 beagle puppies?
A neighbor heard one of our puppies’ squeak toys in the back yard getting squeaked a lot at 3 AM when we were gone. The squeak toy is missing. Our yard backs up to an open space and we do see occasional foxes. Would a fox have jumped in the yard and played with a dog’s toy? We keep the puppies in the house at night. Are the puppies safe in the yard during the day?
A: Fox’s would not jump the fence to play with a toy. Racoons on the other hand will do that. They often steal things as well.
