Where around New Haven county or anywhere in CT can i find good breeders for boxers….im looking for a full bred boxer puppy 6-8 weeks for adoption for my boyfriend. male wanted, brindle if possible. wanting to adopt soon, possbily christmas time or before. but please, ANY information in the direction to help me find any full bred boxer puppies in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

What is the average price for a boxer puppy and what accessories or items do they need?

A: It all depends on what part of the country you are in. From reputable breeders they can range anywhere from $900 to $3500. Please make sure you get a Boxer from a reputable breeder and make sure they can show you all health testing results. One of the biggest health issues in the breed is heart problems.

Make sure you have a crate. Also make sure you are ready to train the dog. Boxers need training, they don’t finally get their brains until they are about 2 years, some older than that.

Q: When do I start feeding my Boxer puppies dog food?
My boxer puppies are 3 weeks old and starting to get their teeth. Born 6/3/08. When should I start them on dog food? What kind? Do I mix it with water?

A: I liked weening puppies on things I’d make in the blender. When I weened early I used baby rice cereal to make the formula a bit more solid. If they were ultra young I used up my remaining goats milk or esblac with the cereal, and as time went on I added things like cooked egg yokes. Later as in 3 1/2 – 4 weeks I would add cottage cheese, chicken, etc. Also I would sit with them and use a baby spoon to teach them where the food was, sometimes that works really fast. When in a hurry or I wanted them cleaner I used a huge syringe without the needle and put the formula in their mouths. With a day or two they figure out how to eat on their own. Many people do put kibble in the blender with some milk as a starter food though. I just had spoiled puppies, but they had extra nutrients and were healthier from it I think.

I have a Flashy Fawn Female Boxer that is AKC and CKC registerd. I have a light brindle male boxer that is only CKC registerd. How much should i sell their puppies for… They are BOXER puppies.

A: Again, since they are only registrable with the Continental KC, whatever the going rate for adoption in your area is.

Q: Can Boxer puppies calm down without training them?
My Boxer puppy seems to have calmed down without us training him. He was one of the worst puppies we have had but he acts alot better then he did.

A: As puppies get older, they can lose some of the boisterousness and general ‘puppyishness’ of their early months. But whether he’s calmed down or not, you still need to train your puppy; don’t think for one moment that being calm is the same as being trained.

Q: Is it difficult to adopt 40 or so days old Dash and Boxer female puppies simultaneously?
After buying (female) Dash puppy few days ago, I got an opportunity to adopt a (female) Boxer puppy. Kindly furnish me the practical difficulties involved in adopting Dash and Boxer puppies. If it is not advisable I will reject the offer to adopt Boxer.

A: The only down side i see is that your going to have to do double duty on house training. Though it may prove to be a bit harder then doing just one at a time it will work it’s self out.

Boxers are wonderful dogs and will get along with most anything big or small.

To avoid dominance issue later on in life be sure to spay them both.

Make sure you don’t get either of them before 8 weeks old and you shouldn’t have any issues.

Q: What colour do you think my boxer puppies will be?
My 2 year old boxer is having her first litter of puppies and i was wondering what colours i would end up with.

Shes white but she has a largeish brindle patch on her back leg.

The male is red and white.

What do you think and if you think there will be any white ones how many do you think??

A: Good God, white boxers should NOT be bred EVER due to their increased risk for deafness. Unfortunately you will probably get a lot of white puppies out of this litter, if not all white. Please screen each one carefully for deafness before you place them in a new home, and DO NOT breed your dog again!

Q: How much are boxer puppies worth?
My boxer just recently had puppies. 6 of them to be exact, 4 males and 2 females and one of the females is pure white? How much should I sell each for and should the price on the white one be different?
The father is champion blood and the mother is AKC registered.

A: This could depend on where you live – as well as on factors such as whether the dog’s dam or sire are champions. Of course if you are willing to ship puppies location is less important. Q: How many of you have Boxer dogs or puppies?
I have a Boxer puppy that just will not behave. He is almost 6 months old. Is there anything that I can do to make him mind.

A: I have a pit bull boxer mix. She is very well behaved, however I take her for walks everyday, because she also has loads of energy. If she didn’t get her daily walk she would probably be in trouble all the time, but she is well mannered.

I have a 8 wk. old boxer puppy and was wondering if there were any specific techniques that I should be using for her training. She likes to bite and when we pull back or say no she just gets more aggressive.

A: Puppies explore the world with their mouths. Its a game to her, you pull your hand away, she chases it! what fun! Buy LOTS of toys and REDIRECT all the time. A simple ‘ah uh!’ and show her the toy then PRAISE when she gets the toy.

I have a 9 month old boxer puppy who seems to grow more every day. This has been going on for quite some time now. When will he be full grown?

A: He will reach his adult height by age 1, then continue to fill out until about age 2.

We have feeding our puppies Royal Canin for about a month. Were looking for a special made kibble just for boxer puppies. Fingers are crossed that it wont be as expensive. ;0)

A: Breed specific food is just another marketing ploy with absolutely no basis in fact.

The best thing that you could feed your dog is no kibble at all. These cooked and processed biscuits consist of meat by-products, preservatives (many of which are banned for human use) and fillers such as grains and root vegetables which have no place in the diet of a dog.

Q: What happens to boxer puppies if you give them whole milk?
I have a boxer puppy about 8 weeks and we have been giveing him whole milk for about a week then i herd it was bad for them what will happen.
