Q: Anyone selling Toy Poodle Puppies here in Singapore?
I live in Singapore and I would know if anyone out there is selling their Toy Poodle puppy.
Would prefer it in red or brown in colour. Female.

Try not to buy a puppy when there are so many abandoned and abused dogs looking for loving homes. The other voluntary animal welfares you may contact to adopt a small dog is ASD (Assistance for Singapore Dogs) – look up tel directory for number, or call the SPCA (62875355). These animal welfares have a host of rescued dogs who will only be too happy to be adopted.

A: Have you tried poodle rescue. One of my coworkers used it but I didn’t ask about price and his dog is white.

Q: What do you know about poodle puppies, white ones?
White or cream colored miniature and toy poodles sometimes seem to get a reddish streak from their eyes, extending downward along their nose. I would guess it is some sort of discharge from their eyes. HOW do we handle this? It is not pretty at all. Do you have any suggestions? Thanx in advance.

A: If I had a dog that did that I’d trade it in for one that didn’t. There might even be some kind of Obama program allowing cash for barkers and you’d be able to get a really good deal on a new dog. Actually I think Poodles are bad about that and perhaps a few other breeds, but my two Bichons don’t have the problem (nor did the two we had before these). You might try cleaning the area every two or three days with warm water or better yet train the dog to do it himself.

Q: How much should i sell my poodle puppies?
i have three male poodles and i need to start selling them because my parents don’t want them around the house anymore. There tan to light brown and they will grow to be medium sized.oh and they have hazel eyes
How much would you pay for them ?

A: Are they registered with AKC? Are the vaccinated and de-wormed? Have they had health checks by a vet? If the answers are “no” then I wouldn’t pay any more than $25.

If they HAVE been vaccinated, then $50. Poodles are common. If they ARE registered, $200, but that MUST include vaccinations, dewormed and a health check by a licensed vet.

Please have momma spayed.

Q: How can i prepare my poodle/shitzu for a new puppies arrival?
I have an older (i think 13 yrs old) poodle/shitzu mix, that i got 2 yrs ago to save from being put in the pound. I am going Monday to pick up a new puppy. My poodle/shitzu gets along great with bigger dogs and cats, but i’m worried she will hate the new one. How can i help her adjust without yelling or having to punish her when the new one gets here?

A: Oh cr*p, you scared me. I thought your 13 year old dog was having puppies.

Make sure she knows that she is the queen. Resist the temptation to spend more time with the puppy than with her (I know, pups are irresistable). Do not allow the puppy to harass her, and if she tells the pup off for being rude respect that she is teaching him doggy manners. (See the article “He just wants to say Hi!” http://www.flyingdogpress.com/sayhi.html ). If she is not actually harming him, do not punish her for this. (Puppies will scream as if they are being killed when an older dog tells them off). Reward her for being peacefully in the pup’s presence. If every time he comes up to her she gets a treat, she’ll associate him with good things.

Remember that she may be sore (arthritis or whatever) and not appreciate a crazy pup bumping into her. It is your job to protect her from this. Make the puppy treat her with respect.

Q: where can i find merle mini or toy poodle puppies for sale?
i live in CA, but a lot of places ship, im looking for a male merle, red or blue. any help appreciated!

A: Merle is not an accepted color in poodles. Not likely to find a RESPONSIBLE breeder of one anywhere. A responsible breeder will:

1) be breeding to the breed’s standard..no teacup, micro, mini, imperial,
king, or other goofy term for runts or oversized dogs. No intentional
“rare”, meaning unaccepted by the breed standard, colors either.

2) will be actively showing or working the parents.

3) will have genetic health testing done, such as OFA or PennHip, CERF,
VonWillebrand’s, etc.

4) will give you the results of that testing in writing

5) insists on spay/neuter for pet pups.

6) has a contract citing the spay/neuter clause and also offering to take
back the pup at any time for any reason for the rest of its life.

7) is open, honest, and available to the new owner, and can talk aobut their
breed for hours.

8) does a home check before placing a pup, and will turn down homes that
might not be suitable for a pup of their breed.

9) does not put money above the well-being of their animals.

If the breeder you are considering doesn’t fit these guidelines, find a
better breeder. You are more likely to get a mentally and physically
healthy pup from a responsible breeder.

Q: How old is to old for a teacup poodle to have puppies?
my poodle is 9 years old and I need to know if that is to old to have puppies

A: yes and no. she’s too little to have the energy to push out 5 or 6(depending on how many she has) puppies. but if she is in good health it will be alright.

Q: how can a black toy poodle have white puppies?

A: You have to look at both dogs genealogy. If there are white in their background than you MAY possibly have white puppies but make sure you at least mate with a white poodle to increase your chances. My cream poodle came from a white dad and an cream mom. The litter before that was from a grey dad, they were trying to get red puppies, assuming if you mix darker colors you may get red, BUT they just ended up getting all white puppies. Any solid color is recognized by the AKC but when you have spotted coloring, they will not be. There can be a little white on the chest but it can’t be a lot.

Q: I am looking for miniture poodle puppies. Anyone know where I can find some?
I live in KY and I would like to find a breeder or pet store that is currently selling miniature poodles. I would like to find a place in Northern KY or Louisville. Thanks for the help.

A: try putting a ad in your local paper…the best breeders can be found in there because they don’t breed by kennel club breed standards…just make sure the breeder you get it from don’t inbreed linebreed and selective breed…

a friend of mine has a poodle who is pregnant and i am buying a pup how long will it be pregnant?

A: You can expect to bring your puppy home about 4 months from the day the poodle was bred..Be sure your friend gets them their first parvo shot at 6 weeks, even if you have to pay for it..The pups and their mom should be given treatment for roundworms at 3 and 5 weeks..Take your puppy for its first check up at 8 weeks, and to get its second shots…. So its time to be saving up your money..The first puppy check up, at 8 weeks, will cost about $40-$50..

A: If you are looking to get a dog for free (much less three dogs) you are sadly misguided. This is not to be harsh, this is simply honest and straightforward.

Have you considered that taking care of one, two or three dogs is an expensive thing? They don’t feed, walk, or take themselves to the vet, they don’t sit around looking cute and being obedient. They need someone to exercise them, brush them, take them to obedience training, buy them food, take them for regular visits to the vet, play with them and their toys, etc. All these things cost money. Lots of money. Now take that “lots of money” and times it by 3. Adoption fee doesn’t sound so bad anymore does it?

If you don’t have the money to spend on an adoption fee, you shouldn’t be considering adopting an animal.

Q: I was told that once I breed my Maltipoo with the poodle, it will always have mixed puppies?
Is this true?

I want to have full blooded Maltipoos! And I don’t want to ruin my dog!

So, will she be able to have the pure blooded Maltipoos after having puppies with the poodle daddy?

A: Holly they will always be pure bred mutts. How about that. :-)

I have found a boy dog to mate with my Maltipoo. But it is a poodle. Will that still make my puppies pure bred maltipoos?
